Our dinner stop in New Hampshire will be the Harts Turkey Train for a wonderful Turkey Dinner before checking ingo the Mountain Club on Loon. On Wednesday, we will meet our guide for a day of touring through the White Mountains. Visit the Rock’s Estate for a Maple Experience and then a buffet luncheon at the Sunset Hill House Inn. After lunch, board the Cog Train for a scenic ride to the Summit of Mount Washington. The following day a Fall Foliage Special Train with lunch a the Common Man Inn. Stop at Kellerhaus Candies before returning to hotel. On Frida, we will check out and travel to Massachusetts for an Original Historic Fireside Feast at the Salem Crossing Inn. Relax by the fieldstone fireplace as the crackling fire roasts your prime rib “to turn” by rotating slowly over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs.

VERMONT CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY

As you enter the main doors of the lodge, you will be struck by a feeling of Christmas that will take your breath away. The lodge is decorated to the “Christmas Nines” in true Austrian fashion. The lodge has a beautiful indoor pool that you can enjoy. We will take a beautiful ride up on the Stowe Gondola to see the stunning views. We will learn about dog sledding and have time to meet the dogs. A visit to the Village of Shelburne to see the animated shops and the wonders of Christmas. We will have a tour of the sugar making process along with a wreath making demo. Stop at Shelburne Vineyard for local cheese and wine tasting.. Stop at a local cider mill and winery known for its homemade cider donuts. Lunch on the way home at the Middlebury Inn.

NEWPORT MANSIONS AT CHRISTMAS

Newport Vineyards Winery Tour and tasting before checking into hotel. The following day, a Newport Mansions Driving Tour of Ten Mile Ocean Drive and along the sea where the most famous of the “American Aristocracy” had built their splendid summer palaces. We will tour the Marble House, built in 1892 and was the home of the Alva & William Vanderbilt. We will visit the Breakers Mansion, home of President and Chairman of NY Central Railroad, Cornelius Vanderbilt II. We will see the Sparkling Lights at the breakers, an outdoor magical wonderland of lights. Christmas at Blithewold Mansion for a tour and tea in the dining room for tea and sweet and savory treats. Each room is filled with elaborate holiday decorations and the gardens become a glimmering winter wonderland. There will also be time at the gift shop.
