On our way to Boston we will stop a the historic Salem Cross Inn for a fireside prime rib lunch. After lunch we will continue our trip to check into the Encore Boston Harbor. The following day we will explore the Hammond Castle where you can explore many rooms as well as the beautiful castle grounds. In the evening we will head to Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant for dinner prior to heading to Symphony Hall to see the Boston Pops. The following day we will have a 1 hour Boston Harbor cruise, with a stop at Quincy markets for a light lunch on your own. After we will head to the Nordic Lodge for a wonderful lobster buffet! We will then head to an overnight stay in Connecticut where we will board the Essex Steam train and Riverboat. This includes a 2 1/2 hour tour with a boxed lunch.

On our way to Vermont, we will stop at the Vermont Country Store where you will have time for lunch and shopping on our own before arriving at the beautiful Von Trapp Family Lodge. During our stay, we will have a family history tour. We will visit New England’s largest producer of apple cider and enjoy some free samples. We will visit the Vermont Annex which has many choices of where to feast your eyes. Sampling at Cabot Cheese, Lake Champlain Chocolates and Smugglers Notch Distillery are sure to delight. We will visit an 8th generation maple syrup producer. Then, back to the lodge for dinner and entertainment. On Sunday, we will have a 90 minute brunch cruise on Lake Champlain with narration. Take in the beautiful scenery of NY’s Adirondack Mountains and Vermont’s Green Mountains as we learn about the history of the lake and this region. A visit to Church Street Marketplace where buskers and unique shops abound! A stop at a local Orchard for an exclusive Apple Brandy and aperitif tasting. On Monday, we will visit a Morgan Horse Farm and have a woodcraft Toy Tour before lunch at the Middlebury Inn.

Our annual July 4th celebration begins. We will be making a morning stop and a lunch stop before arriving in beautiful Maine. We will stop in Portland for dinner at DiMillo’s. The Boothbay Harbor Inn is a beautiful motel directly on the waterfront which has a wonderful indoor and outdoor lounge for your enjoyment. There is a walkway bridge over the water to the Village of Boothbay Harbor. Of course a favorite of many is walking over the bridge at night for their delicious homemade ice cream. During our stay in the Boothbay Region, we will tour the Boothbay area, and have a boat ride to Cabbage island for our Lobster Bake on the 4th and our DOCK PARTY with heavy snack buffet and great view of the fireworks on the waterfront of our motel. We will have a cruise to Star Island as well as an optional 30 minute waling tour of the island. We will cruise through the legendary Isles of Shoals, through a cluster of 9 islands located off the coast, we will see “the Alzatraz of the east”, 5 historic forts and lighthouses. We will stop on the way home in Kennebunkport for lunch and shopping on your own. This tour sells out quickly and SINGLE ROOMS ARE SOLD OUT! 1st bus sold out and half of second bus.
