Our annual July 4th celebration begins.  We will be making a morning stop and a lunch stop before arriving in beautiful Maine.  We will stop in Portland for dinner at DiMillo’s.  The Boothbay Harbor Inn is a beautiful motel directly on the waterfront which has a wonderful indoor and outdoor lounge for your enjoyment.  There is a walkway bridge over the water to the Village of Boothbay Harbor.  Of course a favorite of many is walking over the bridge at night for their delicious homemade ice cream.  We will visit Kennebunkport for a lobstering cruise and narrated tour .  There will also be time for lunch and shopping on your own.  Lobster bake dinner in York before heading back to hotel.  We will have a short tour the Boothbay area, and have a boat ride to Cabbage island for our Lobster Bake on the 4th and our DOCK PARTY with heavy snack buffet and great view of the fireworks on the waterfront of our motel.  Tour of Portland and time for shopping and lunch on your own in Portland. On the way home, we will be stopping in Freeport for lunch on your own.

Embark on a Tall Ship Lunch Cruise in the Harbor and see the Ships.   Afterwards, there will be free time to explore the ships on your own.  Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum for a personal guide through the ship where you will meet “Sam Adams” and participate in the re-enactment of the destruction of the tea.  Lunch on your own at Quincy Markets where you will also have some time to visit Faneuil Hall.  Historic Boston Highlights Tour featuring parts of the freedom Trail.  We will have a tour of the Christian Science Church and the Mapparium.  The church houses one fo the world’s largest pipe organs.    Dinner at local restaurant before returning to hotel.  The following day, we will check out and stop at the Nordic Lodge for and all you can enjoy seafood buffet.

Our journey to Myrtle Beach requires an overnight going and coming.  Our hotel is a  Drury Inn & Suites in Glen Allen, VA which includes a dinner and 2 alcoholic beverages.   We will be staying at the beautiful Beach Cove Resort once we arrive in Myrtle Beach.  The resort features the Tradewind Café and oceanfront lounge and 320 oceanfront one-bedroom condos.  The resort offers a secluded wide stretch of beach, indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river, hot tubs, saunas and racquetball court.  Highlights to include: Alabama Theater, A Marsh Explorer Eco Tour,  We will visit Murrells Inlet, known as the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina” for lunch on your own.  Carolina Opry for TIME WARP,  The Broadway Theater for Le Grand Cirque.   We will also visit Ripley’s Aquarium with Tea.  There will also be free time to enjoy the beach and the resort.
